On Sunday 29th May, CJ and the team travelled down to Clacton Pavilion to help manage the free family Clacton Rocks event, showcasing the fantastic new look of the newly wrapped Clacton Breeze ‘Octo-Bus’. It was amazing to see so many families admire the octopus-themed open top bus, picking up their new timetables and learning more about the AMAZING Octopus Ahoy! public art trail, launching on the 25th June.
The event marked the start of the Clacton Rock bus routes heading around town this summer, including Open Top Tours. CJ, our ‘be-tentacled’ octopus mascot, had a whale of a time meeting and greeting the kids, taking pictures, handing out stickers and encouraging everyone to download the app in preparation for the launch of the trail.
The ‘ink-redible’ ‘Octo-bus’, expertly wrapped by Esign, was a joy to see at Clacton Pavilion as families climbed aboard to discover more about the return of Clacton Breeze Open Top Bus Tours from Hedingham Omnibuses, as well as learning more about the upcoming public art trail hitting the streets on 25th June. Visitors hopped into Clacton Pavilion Fun Park’s giant deckchair and shared their snaps online with the hashtag #clactonrocks and #octopusahoy, as well as taking part in a colouring competition, each heading home with a stick of rock!
It was great to spend the day working alongside the team at Hedingham Omnibuses, and to see the excitement that the event brought to the public for their tours and the trail.
