The year of 2020 may not have gone to plan for many of us, but we’re here to make sure that 2021 makes up for it with the most exciting art event of the year launching on 25th June and going out with a bang on 5th September.
There’s just 4 months to go until giant octopus sculptures, brilliantly designed and painted by talented artists and sponsored by local businesses, are out bringing some colourful joy to the streets of Essex.
This summer, schools can take part in our engaging Education Programme, encouraging young people to develop their teamwork, communication, and design skills. Learn more here.
Tour the streets of Essex with family and friends, using our upcoming Octopus Ahoy! app to win fantastic prizes as you track down each vibrant sea creature sculpture.
In the lead up to and during the event, our octopus mascot CJ will be available for businesses to book for a visit – a great way help spread the word of the trail, encourage tourism in the area and bring a smile to the faces of the public.
We will soon be recruiting volunteers to join our First Mate Crew to assist with everything octopus in the run up to, during and after the event. You’ll help out with administration tasks, promotional activities, assist at events and more – a fantastic opportunity for those aspiring to be in the events industry and looks great on any CV!
